Our 2024 seedling sale is now underway! To see the plants available for this year's sale, click the Plant Descriptions tab above.

This program offers area residents the opportunity to beautify their property while helping to improve the envrionment by planting trees and shrubs. The sale features evergreen and deciduous seedlings, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and perennials. Evergreens are three and four year old bareroot seedlings and transplants; deciduous trees and shrubs (including Black Chokeberry and Eastern Redbud) are two and three year old bareroot seedlings. Small Fruits include strawberry plants (sold in bundles of 25); blueberry plants; black and red raspberry plants. Asparagus (sold in bundles fo 5 or 25) and six varieties of flowering perennials are available chosen to aid pollinators and butterflies.

Proceeds from our annual sale help support conservation projects in Dauphin County.

PAYMENT
All seedlings must be purchased by placing a prepaid order. A check issued to Dauphin County Conservation District must be received with your order form by Monday, March 18. DCCD will charge a $25.00 fee for any check returned for insufficient funds.

PICK UP
Thursday April 18 - 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm
Friday, April 19 - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Please call our office (717) 921-8100 to make pick up arrangements if you are unable to pick up your order during these times. DCCD charges a $5.00 fee for orders that are not picked up during the specified times unless prior arrangements have been made. A reminder notice will be sent to you in early April.

WHERE
Orders are to be picked up at the Dauphin County Agriculture and Natural Resources Center, 1451 Peters Mountain Road, Dauphin. This facility is two miles north of Dauphin Borough on Route 225 between Clarks Creek and Peters Mountain. From Harrisburg, take Route 322 West to the Halifax exit, take the ramp towards Halifax. This turns into Route 225 North, which is Peters Mountain Road. Follow Route 225 for approximately 1.8 miles and look for the green tree signs on your right.

DCCD reserves the right to substitute a different size seedling for any species pending availability and severe growing conditions. If any one species is sold out, the District will refund payment for those seedlings not available. All seedlings must be purchased by placing a prepaid order. Survival rates of bareroot seedlings vary from site to site, from excellent to poor. We strive to provide the most viable seedlings available and all efforts are made to handle seedlings in order to prevent root stress. DCCD will not insure successful plantings of bareroot seedlings, as our suppliers will not insure seedling survival.
